Scope of Services
1. Data Collection:
Data collection will be conducted over a three-day period in Kamirenda Township. The scope includes:
- Surveys: Administer structured questionnaires to 80 participants, including 50 residents, 30 entrepreneurs, and 20 stakeholders from government and non-governmental organizations. The goal is to assess awareness of solar energy technology, financial barriers, and perceptions of policy effectiveness.
- Interviews: Conduct semi-structured interviews with selected local entrepreneurs and stakeholders with specialized knowledge or experience in solar energy and policy implementation. These interviews will allow for more in-depth exploration of their insights, challenges, and recommendations.
- Focus Group Discussions: Facilitate interactive discussions with groups of residents who have adopted solar energy. These sessions aim to foster collective reflections on their experiences and perspectives.
- Document Analysis: Review key policy documents, government reports, and relevant literature to provide a contextual framework and validate findings during analysis.
Research experts will ensure participant representation across demographic groups and work closely with the client to maintain methodological rigor.
2. Data Analysis:
The analysis will use advanced tools to provide robust insights:
- Quantitative Data Analysis (SPSS): Data from the survey will be cleaned and analyzed using SPSS to generate descriptive statistics, correlations, and cross-tabulations. This analysis will focus on themes such as public awareness, financial constraints, and perceived policy effectiveness.
- Qualitative Data Analysis (NVIVO 15): Qualitative responses from interviews and focus groups will undergo thematic analysis using NVIVO 15 software. This process will involve coding and identifying patterns to summarize participantsβ experiences and highlight emerging themes.
- Results from both quantitative and qualitative analyses will be synthesized into a cohesive Chapter 4 report, aligning findings with the studyβs research objectives.
